Tuesday, April 25 – The program started with the opening and welcoming ceremony prepared and presented by the students of our school for our guests. Our program continued with various local folk dances, folk songs and performances with the participation of our District Governor, District National Education Director, District National Education Departmental Manager and School Director. In our program, our school choir, baglama concert, folk dance and various theatrical village plays were exhibited. After the welcoming program, a warm atmosphere was created between the groups with warm-up activities in school meeting hall. After the warm-up activity, each country introduced their forgotten handicrafts and asked the audience questions of our board game for evaluation. In the afternoon, our participants had the opportunity to experience the art of marbling and the art of calligraphy, one of the most beautiful examples of Turkish-Islamic art, with the art of marbling workshop, one of our forgotten handicrafts. Then, the historical, religious and cultural structures of our city were visited. The Imaret Mosque, which was built in 1472, was visited, and the Afyon Mevlevi House, which was built in the 13th century, was visited and the whirling dervish show, one of the most precious religious ceremonies, was watched by our guests.
Wednesday, April 26 – Pamukkale, one of the most eye-catching places in our country, which is on the UNESCO Heritage List, was visited. Our cultural tour is completed with travertines, ancient theatre, ancient ruins and Cleopatra pool.
Thursday , 27 April -- In the hosting of Afyonkarahisar Youth Center, It was introduced to the art of tile painting, one of our forgotten handicrafts. In the workshop, each participant had the opportunity to experience this art by painting their own tile plate. After the workshop, Turkish coffee was served in the special room bearing traces of the Ottoman period with traditional Turkish motifs, and Afyonkarahisar Youth Center was introduced and the work carried out was mentioned.
Our activities continued with the ancient city of Phrygia (Frigya),which has left traces from ancient times to the present day. Horse riding and archery, which are our Turkish ancestral sports, were introduced to our guests here. Our guests had the chance to practice our ancestral sports one by one. Emre Lake was visited and our guests tasted one of the traditional and branded flavors of Afyonkarahisar, barbecued sausage bread. In the evening, a sira night was organized in a traditional Turkish restaurant, and a cultural feast was offered to our guests.
Friday, April 28 -- Students were involved in a nice workshop “Group painting and hand print activity”. They painted images of flags of the different countries to deliver at the end of the activities. During this time teachers had an meeting to evaluate the activities and to establish the tasks for the next mobility The activities were closed with the certificates ceremony. In the afternoon we visited some parts of our city and castle and museum of Afyonkarahisar.
